The sauna’s benches, floor, and backrests are treated with an oil-based wood wax for easy maintenance and lasting cleanliness. Periodically, wipe down surfaces, including the glass, with a mild soap solution and warm water, working from top to bottom. Dry the glass with a squeegee or microfiber cloth. No rinsing is necessary, as the sauna naturally dries with its one-way ventilation system. Avoid strong soaps or chemicals, which could release fumes when heated.

Wood Treatment

i. The sauna’s exterior timber is coated with a clear sealer, providing breathable protection from weather and UV rays. To maintain the natural warm color of raw wood, reapply the oil every 6-12 months based on UV exposure, or allow it to age naturally to a silver tone without affecting durability. Stained or painted siding would follow the typical house maintenance schedule.

ii. Inside, the benches, floor, and backrests are oiled with and oil wood wax for easy cleaning and long-lasting protection. For high-frequency use, such as in commercial settings, consider reapplying the oil periodically to keep the interior in excellent condition.
